The 2nd International Symposium on Genus LiliumSYMPLITALY2010” will take place in Pescia – Tuscany (Italy), from August 30th to September 3rd, 2010. The event follows the 1st international symposium on lily organized sixteen years ago in Tajon, Korea

Up to date, more than 80 abstracts have been submitted and evaluated by the Scientific Committee.

The Symposium is organized by CRA-VIV Pescia under the aegis of the ISHS (Sect. Ornamentals Plants, Working Group Flowerbulbs and Herbaceous Perennials) and SOI (Section Floriculture and Ornamental Plants).

Participants in this meeting will have a great opportunity to meet with colleagues and exchange ideas in a friendly and agreeable environment. There will be ample opportunities to discuss state of the art and consult with the experts in both informal discussions and formal panel sessions, that will concern Botany, Economics, Genetics, Breeding, Propagation, Physiology, Agronomy, Pathology, Quality, Postharvest Management applied to the Genus Lilium.
